2025 LYTTC Open
The LYTTC monthly open is a prestigious USATT-sanctioned table tennis tournament on the second weekend of each month. The event attracts top talent from various levels, featuring highly competitive matches, cash prizes, and a structured tournament format.
It typically features 12 categories, including Open Singles , U4200 Doubles, Age U19, Age U15, U2400, U2200, U2100, U2000, U1900, U1700, U1400, U1000 and U600.
2025 January Barry Dattel Memorial Open was held in honor of Barry Dattel (1958–2016), a respected player and coach. Barry Dattel was a prominent American table tennis player, coach, and director at the Lily Yip Table Tennis Center. A lifetime USA Table Tennis member and ITTF-certified coach, he won multiple national titles, a Maccabiah Games bronze medal, and the U.S. Open Over-50 Championship. His legacy continues through his coaching influence and the annual Barry Dattel Memorial Open in New Jersey. The tournament serves as a tribute to Dattel’s contributions to the sport while promoting excellence in table tennis.
BTT members, Aaron Li, Anna Naumova, Ishan Rangdal and Marvin Yu, was very excited to participate in multiple events on January 11st and 12nd. There were a total of 99 talents, including over 10 players with USATT ratings above 2300. Ishan made to the Top 8 in U2200 from 32 players.
On February 8th and 9th, BTT members, Aaron Li and Ishan Rangdal competed in multiple events at February Open which featured a total of 74 players.
In March of 2025, BTT member Samuel Liu (right image) participated in the under 1000 rating event. After emerging as first seat in his group for the round robins, he went on to win both the semifinals and finals to receive first place and earn the title champion of that event.
